Lisa
Lisa started mountain biking in the Spring of 2000. A co-worker told her about Women's Only and it sounded interesting so she bought a new bike and showed up for class nervous yet excited. She remembers fondly the first time she rode up a curb. Three weeks into the beginners course Lisa had already signed up for the next course.
Since taking her first class Lisa has taken Intermediate I and III and every other mountain biking workshop offered by Women's Only. She has an all or none attitude and has thrown herself full force into becoming a better rider. She rides with a sense of determination and is always willing to dust herself off and try again.
Lisa has volunteered for Intermediate III and is excited at the opportunity to be instructing for Women's Only. It's inspiring to see participant's progression throughout a course and the smiles on their faces when they ride something they never believed they coud or would. It's all about having faith in your abilities. "Sometimes you have to throw yourself into the fire" is her motto.
